A clearwing hunt

It's July 3rd 2025, the pheromone lures are in place, the site is the sphagnum bog at Cromwell Bottom and all Andy Cockroft and I have to do is wait. My main target is the Red-tipped Clearwing..........

Success! About 20 minutes later a small, dark insect appeared from out of nowhere and began buzzing around one of the bags, the excitement grew, could it really be our target species? I managed a couple of hastily grabbed record shots before Andy eventually netted it.
