72.029 Scarlet Tiger larva at 35mm in length found feeding on Green Alkanet at Pulman's Yard, Skircoat Green on Apr. 29th 2025. An incredibly unexpected find in such a wildlife unfriendly, suburban location.

72.029 Scarlet Tiger larva at Pulman's Yard, Skircoat Green on May 13th 2025.
Amazingly two more larvae were seen including this one resting on my own doorway. I mistakingly thought that the dispersing larvae were searching for pupation sites but according to literature they can wander during their final instar to feed on different foodplants including willows and Bramble.
