A new species, a new family...........

Six visits to Norland this summer/ autumn and at least one new species recorded on each visit. In fact it's been a great leaf mining year for me so far despite not starting til June. No less than 14 new miners have been added to the list plus of course the new larvae and moths species.

The above Heliozela hammoniella has been at the top of my target species list for some time and I was beginning to think it didn't exist, that was until yesterday (Oct. 8th).

I'm trying to record at least one species from as many moth families as possible but I suspect things are going to get quite tricky from now on.............
